This is our third visit to Anna Maria Island, more specifically the city of Holmes Beach. For us, the annual trip is our chance for quiet time catching up with family and friends where we grew up. I also get a chance to give my son a glimpse of some of the things I grew up doing.

We’ve been on Holmes Beach three years in a row now, but next year we will stay in Anna Maria proper for Spring Break (near the tip by Rod & Reel Pier) where there are amazing crystal clear tide pools that form. Kids loves this area because they can sit, stand, and swim without crashing waves with plenty of fish to try and catch.
